Zach Bartz is a performer, producer, and painter in Chicago, IL. His work has been shown publicly throughout the United States and is held in private collections around the world. He is also the co-founder of “The Shithole”, a Chicago word-of-mouth variety show. He regularly updates his Instagram with new work @ImZachBartz. Playing with Visual Crossroads
We’re continuously blown away by Zach’s growing collection of work. As he staddles numerous worlds within the arts community he maintains a vibrancy and liveliness that belies his full schedule. While his humor and play draw us in, he doesn’t relent in his relevant explorations of cultural icons, ideals, and aspirations.
For instance, you’ll find in one his included paintings a piece depicting a brown-galaxy-skinned femme figure atop a cerulean background. There’s a deep, awakening softness in its vibrancy and in the attention paid to her skin and features. Personality, motion, and life turn the canvas into a living space, making Zach’s work familiar.
It’s work like this that makes us excited to see what else Zach has in store.
