Kayla Mahaffey gives us a fresh look at portraiture, one that is textured and dripping with the natural world.
Kayla Mahaffey is an illustrator and fine artist who conveys stories and tales with each of her pieces. Her artwork has been featured in shows at Plus Gallery, Genesis Art Supply, The Black Couch, and Capital One Cafe, several of which she also served as the curator. She has been published in the American Academy of Art's magazine "Abstraction." She was born and raised on the south side of Chicago, where she still works today.
